Library
Welcome to the Corpus Christi Library/Media Center page. The library collection contains 12,000+ books of fiction and non-fiction for students to read. It’s a place where a child’s imagination grows with adventure, history, and science. The media center has computers where students may take their Accelerated Reader (AR) tests and research information. The library is also a place for students to read and study.
The Corpus Christi Library supports the classroom teacher’s use of the Accelerated Reader (AR) Program. Books are marked with AR level and points. Click the link below to access the AR Book Finder.
A Look Inside …
The Giving Tree
The Giving Tree by Shel Silversein is a story about gratitude.
The Corpus Christi Giving Tree is a way that we acknowledge the gift of new or gently used books to our library. Donate a book and your child’s name will be added to our Giving Tree.
Battle of the Books
The Battle of the Books is a reading competition for fifth grade students. Each year, 40 books are selected for the competition. Our students test their knowledge of these books against students from other area schools. The competition usually occurs in mid-April. All Battle of the Books titles are specially marked for easy identification.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are always welcome to help in the library. We need help in many areas such as bar coding, shelving, labeling, etc.
Check the Volunteer page for more information about volunteering your time at Corpus Christi School.
